Alphabet Song

If you say this alphabet two times every night,
You will surely learn to read...
But never learn to write!

A is for walrus.
B is for dog.
C stands for housemouse,
D is for frog.
E is not elephant (we know this is true),
F stands for hamster, crab and gnu.
G is the fish in water that's hot,
H could be sheep (but in this case it's not).
I is for otter and rabbit and stoat,
J is for chicken and tiger and goat.
K is the animal that scratches and crawls.
L is the bird that can't fly, but just falls.
M is the pig, that silly old pig,
N is the insect we call an earwig.
O is for emu and beaver and horse.
P stands for eagle and lizard of course.
Q is the cow that always goes "moo".
R stands for hare, well, often it do.
S is the worm that moves very slow,
T stands for nothing at all that I know.
U is for skunk that stinks when it's mad,
V is for dodo (it's extinct, so it's sad).
W is for bat, for rat and for cat,
X stands for nowt, so forget about that.
Y stands for spider that's eating a fly,
Z is for gannet - don't ask me why.

If you say this alphabet two times every night,
You will surely learn to read...
But never learn to write!
